As much as we did not want to have Bubba neutered, he is going to have it done tomorrow morning. We are both nervous because he is having any type of surgery. I know it is a routine procedure but we still can't help but worry. The main reason we are having it done is his aggression towards other male dogs,and we just got two new male puppies. At first he was very curious about the puppies, but now his curiosity has turned into aggression.  The last thing we want is for him to hurt one of the babies or worse. So keep Bubba in your thoughts for a successful procedure tomorrow

u have a older male and its showing aggression to 2 pups?

ummm that is normal!!!!!!! just like momma does to her pups! hierarchy!

and we had the same prob with duke it will take some time after he gets his jewels chopped off to see a change!

Well his surgery did not go as planned. We took him to see doc this morning at 7:30. Around 10:00 doc called me personally (not his recepsionist) and scared the crap out of me when I heard him on the phone. So he first thing said dont panic, nothing is wrong. When they tried to put the tube down his throat,Bubba began to vomit everywhere even though he had not eaten since 5:00 yesterday afternoon. So he called me back just now and said we could come get him,and rescheduled it for Monday morning. I feel so bad for poor Bubba. First we are having him nuetered and then all this happened to him and he has to go through it all again on Monday. You can bet your life he will get extra treats from me today Wink Wink

I feel so bad for him. They had given him enough medicine to relax him so they could insert the tube but not enough for the surgery. So yesterday he was all drugged out and sleepy and last night he was getting sick.They must have really irritated his throat because he sounds different when sleeping than he normally does. I think I will call the vet back today and ask him about it just to be on the safe side

First his home is invaded by babies...then he has to lose his "boys"!
