Sorry, no pics of the doggies in the snow.  Too busy keeping them safe from being swallowed to bring the camera (and trying to keep my balance with happy dogs on the leash).

We are just outside D.C. and got about 19 inches.

Here is what our immediate area looked like.
-Snow up to the top of your car tire (1.5 feet)
-The frozen block of car on the right is my Prius
-Plenty of trees in the area have fallen over as well.  Luckily we still have power.

The dogs LOVE the snow.

Sophieis still small enough that she disappears in the snow but LOVES to climb snow piles and try to walk on top.  She sunk in a few times and I had to pull her out.

Gummi loves EATING snow.  He opens his mouth and plows ahead or jumps through the deep drifts.

They are going to miss it when we move back to CA!!!

Everyone else doing ok?

Looks familiar. We have about 24 inches of snow. They are calling for 10 to 20 more tomorrow and Wednesday. Cry Cry Cry Cry

This next storm is being underestimated due to the magnitude of the blizzard that just hit.  I'm sure it will make quite a mess because it is coming so soon.

I made another run to the grocery store so the house is stocked.  Never saw a barren Safeway before.  It was wierd.  All they had in the produce section were green bananas.

Naturally I returned to find someone had taken the spot I spent 2 hours digging out...

The fun part comes in a few more hours.  I pick up the in-laws from Dulles around midnight.

Ice road driving woooo!

Glad I got plenty of practice doing this growing up in CA...

I'm glad to see that everyone survived the blizzard!   Grin  Thankfully we only had about 6 inches but Philly got over 2 feet and that's only about 40 minutes South of us.  They are saying we could get anywhere from 12 - 24 inches between tonight and tomorrow...should be a fun time!

I'll have to try and get some pictures of Buddha in the snow...he absolutely loves it!  He's a bugger though...I shoveled a huge area in the front yard for him and he'll only do his business on the snow piles.   Roll Eyes

Oh geez. You need to get back here. It was nice and warm and sunny over the weekend. The good news is the federal govt is shut down in DC and the govt employees get a few days off but the bad news is we're running the govt from the west coast Grin

Try and stay warm!! Smiley

We survived but it's still coming down and the wind is blowing. Those pics are precious! I love Gummi's tongue on the last one, it looks like he is catching snow flakes. Grin

What street are you on? My daughter just put a contract on a row house on West Patrick. I am in Sharpsburg MD about 25 minutes from Frederick. Looks like you knew how to make the most of the weather!  Grin
